Maruti Baleno RS spied in a peculiar dual-tone shade

Unlikely to offered as a real paint option.

A dual tone Maruti Baleno RS has been spied at what appears to be a workshop. Unlike the dual tone configuration we're used to, where the upper and lower portions are different colours, the model spied has two distinct tones on the left and right portions of its body.

This is unlikely to be offered as a real paint option, given the cost of application and that it's illegal.

It's quite an impressive paint job, although it's unlikely to be offered to customers. Not to mention, the above dual tone option would be expensive to put it into production, as it will have to go through the paint booth twice. It could be a sample unit to test the finish of the two paint jobs or even a demo unit for the dealers.

The Baleno RS is confirmed to launch for sale on March 3 in India. It debuts the all-new 1.0L Boosterjet petrol engine in India, which produces 100 hp (75kW) at 5,500 rpm and 150 Nm of torque between 1,700 rpm and 4,500 rpm.

There could be two grades at launch, where the lower one will feature a 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth instead of the Smartplay touchscreen system.

The model featured has an interior that looks identical to that of the current Baleno, but it features a 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth instead of the Smartplay touchscreen system. The latter could be equipped in a higher grade.
