Paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, it offers 21.56 km/l, and with a 4-speed automatic Maruti claims 20.28 km/l. The 2018 Ciaz diesel continues to offer the Fiat sourced 1.3-liter DDiS making 90 PS and 200 Nm of torque, coupled to a 5-speed manual delivering 28.09 km/l mileage. Reports state that Maruti will update this engine towards the end of this year with a Suzuki developed 1.5-liter adhering to BS6 emission standards.
