Maruti Ciaz SHVS mild hybrid brochure leaked, capable of 28.09 km/L - Report
To launch tomorrow.
Ahead of its launch on September 1, the brochure of the Maruti Ciaz SHVS mild hybrid has leaked online, revealing all the specs. It is all set to be the family compact sedan segment's first ever model featuring a mild hybrid system for increased fuel efficiency.
The Maruti Ciaz SHVS diesel hybrid will replace the conventional diesel model, and will continue to source power from the same 1.3-liter DDiS diesel engine, which produces 88.4 hp and 200 Nm of torque. However, the Ciaz SHVS will be equipped with fuel saving technologies like a brake energy recovery system, start/stop feature, and torque assist.
And, according to the leaked brochure, this has brought up the fuel consumption from 26.21 km/L to 28.09 km/l (ARAI-certified), thus retaining the title as the most fuel efficient sedan in India.
The exterior and interior of the Maruti Ciaz SHVS is identical to the conventional model currently sold. The only difference in the exterior is the SHVS badge at the back, while the interior gets an updated instrument cluster and new buttons for the SHVS features.
