Spied - A stockyard full of Maruti Ciaz sedans await dealer dispatch

The car is produced at Maruti's Manesar plant.

Maruti has started production of the Ciaz sedan in full swing. According to a report, the first batch of cars are ready, and the dealer dispatch could begin soon.

The Ciaz will launch in India next month.

The Ciaz is likely to receive power from the 1.4-liter K-Series petrol engine (seen on the Ertiga), and the 1.3-liter Fiat-sourced Multijet diesel engine in the 90 PS state of tune. The petrol engine could also receive the option of a CVT gearbox apart from a manual unit.

The Ciaz would be available in three trims - VXi/VDi, VXi+/VDi+ and ZXi/ZDi. All variants are reported to get projector headlights as standard fitment. The top-end trim would benefit from dual airbags, ABS, EBD, 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, keyless entry with engine starter button, multifunction steering wheel and a rear AC vent.

The car would be available in three trims.

The Ciaz is expected to launch next month, and pre-launch bookings should start sometime soon.
