Algeria - India-made Maruti Ciaz to be unveiled on December 10
Algeria gets only the petrol version.
Algeria will likely be the first export market for the India-made Maruti Ciaz. Elsecom Automobile, the sole distributor for Suzuki cars in Algeria has announced that the Ciaz will be unveiled on December 10 at the Autowest 2014 show.
For Algeria, the Ciaz will be available with the 1.4-liter four-cylinder K-Series petrol engine which makes 91.14 bhp and 130 Nm of torque, matched to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic. The diesel version will not be offered for now. In India, Maruti claims that the Ciaz petrol averages 20.73 km/l and 19.12 km/l in case of the automatic transmission.
The feature-packed Ciaz is available with projector headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, electrically adjustable and folding wing mirrors, keyless entry with push button start, steering mounted controls, automatic climate control and a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and Bluetooth.
In its launch month, the Ciaz outsold the segment leader, the Honda City by about 1,200 units. Maruti has received over 17,000 bookings for the car, with waiting periods extending to 3 months in certain cities.

Apart from the Ciaz, Maruti exports the Swift, Dzire and Ertiga to Algeria.
