Maruti Dzire Tour and Super Carry to be sold via new LCV dealerships
Current Dzire Tour will be discontinued when third gen Swift Dzire debuts in May.
Team-BHP reports that the next gen Maruti Dzire Tour and Super Carry will be sold via new LCV dealerships soon. Maruti has sent proposals of establishing such a dealership network to its existing dealerships, and the LCV dealerships will built on low investment models.
Speaking of the Dzire Tour, Team-BHP's report states that the current Dzire Tour (first gen Swift Dzire) will be discontinued once the third gen Swift Dzire debuts in May, reportedly. Given that the Swift Dzire Tour is one of the best-selling vehicles in the taxi segment, the current sub- 4m Dzire will be sold as the Dzire Tour.
The source of the report also divulged that Maruti sent an internal message to company officials that instruct them to clear all stocks of the current-gen Dzire and Dzire Tour. The third gen Swift Dzire is reported to be the second car to be built Suzuki's new plant in Gujarat, and is all new from the ground up. Test mules with production-spec exteriors were spied testing in Gurgaon, giving an idea of the final design.
