Maruti Ertiga facelift snapped in India, could receive SHVS tech - Spied

Received its debut in Indonesia last month.

The Maruti Ertiga facelift was spied recently in NCR after it was unveiled at the 2015 GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) last month, where the company announced 29 changes from the outgoing model.

The Ertiga facelift will continue with its 1.4L petrol and 1.3L diesel engines.

The Ertiga facelift for India is also expected to carry the updates applied on the Indonesian version.

The exterior of the Ertiga facelift would host cosmetic changes such as the new three-slat chrome-coated grille, the redesigned radiator grille, a revised front bumper, chrome treated foglamp inserts, new taillight reflectors, new horizontal chrome trim above the registration plate recess with ‘ERTIGA’ embossed across, and reverse/parking sensors embedded in the rear bumper.

The interior of the 2015 Ertiga is subtly enhanced by leaving the layout of dashboard and door panels intact, but embellishing the same with fresh colour patterns, new upholstery and floor mats, improved gear shifter knob, better In-Car Entertainment system, new audio & call control buttons on the steering wheel, and such.

Suzuki announced a total of 29 changes for the Ertiga facelift from its predecessor.

It is unclear if the 2015 Ertiga will be a SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) like the recently launched Maruti Ciaz SHVS, but reports have been suggesting so. Given that the MPV uses the same diesel engine as the Ciaz, the possibility cannot be ruled out.
