Some of the notable features seen on the India-spec S-Cross are a new dual-slat chrome grille, projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, foglights with chrome enclosures, alloy wheels, a smart entry system, turn indicators on the wing mirrors, and front, side and rear skid plates.

Inside, the S-Cross reveals a dual-zone climate control (first-in-segment), and cruise control buttons mounted on the steering wheel. It is further expected with Maruti's touchscreen SmartPlay infotainment system, rear AC vents, dual front airbags, ABS and EBD.

The Indian market S-Cross is expected to get two diesel engine options, both sourced from Fiat.

Powering the S-Cross in this video is a 1.6-liter DDiS diesel engine, likely a Fiat-sourced MultiJet unit, which on the European S-Cross produces 120 PS and 320 Nm of torque. Matched to a 6-speed manual transmission, Suzuki offers the S-Cross with a standard front wheel drive, and optional all-wheel drive with the AllGrip technology for the European market. It remains to be seen if this is extended to India though.

According to reports, the S-Cross will also get a 1.3-liter DDiS diesel engine (a Fiat-sourced MultiJet engine again) with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Duster-rivaling crossover is expected to launch in India next month.
