There is a rise in demand for petrol-powered cars, given the narrowing price gap between petrol and diesel fuels as well as the crackdown on diesel-powered by cars by the Supreme Court and the National Green Tribunal. As of now, it's unclear as to when Maruti will introduce a petrol variant of the S-Cross.
