Maruti S-Cross sales increase by 44.4%, help Maruti Suzuki lead UV segment
The Maruti S-Cross saw a 44.4% increment in sales last fiscal (FY2017-18). The flagship crossover helped Maruti Suzuki attain leadership position in UV sales with a market share of 27.5% during that period.
The S-Cross had teething troubles in India when it landed in 2015, but last financial year was smooth sailing. In October 2017, Maruti Suzuki gave it a facelift, and the new model with better styling and new equipment was received very well by the market. During the same period, the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Maruti Ertiga’s sales jumped by 36.7% and 4.1% respectively.
