Maruti S-Presso rear-quarter - IAB Rendering
Maruti Suzuki's first new entry-level car in seven years, the S-Presso, is bound to be launched on 30th of this month. Based on its recent sightings, IAB's digital artist Shoeb Kalania has produced a rendering of its rear-quarter.
As seen in the rendering, the Maruti S-Presso will a simplistic rear-end. Its high-raised stance is quite visible even from the rear-quarter view. Furthermore, its flared-up wheel arches and rugged-looking black-cladding added on to its surrounds make it a muscular-looking car. The C-shaped tail light design complements the overall appeal of its rear-end and are housed in boxy combination lamps. In order to keep the pricing in check, it misses out on the LED headlights and tail lights, but at the same time, it does get LED fog lamp strip at the front.
In terms of dimensions, the Maruti S-Presso measures 3,565 mm in length, 1,520 mm in width and 1,564 mm in height. In comparison to the Renault Kwid, it stands 114 mm shorter, 59 mm narrower and 86 mm taller. It has a 42 mm shorter wheelbase which measures 2,380 mm.
The Maruti S-Presso rolls on 14-inch steel wheels shod with 165/70-section rubbers. Being a budget offering, it will not be offered with alloy wheel option.
Previous reports say that the Maruti S-Presso will be offered in four variants: Std, LXi, VXi and VXi+. The highlights of the VXi+ variant will include 7.0-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with voice recognition, steering-mounted audio controls, rear parcel tray, body-coloured ORVMs and door handles and a 12V-volt accessory socket. The new model will be based on Suzuki's Heartect platform.
