Maruti Ertiga facelift appears without camouflage - Spied
To be launched this year.
As previously reported, the external updates to the Maruti Ertiga facelift would be confined to a revised front end, new alloy wheel design, and inclusion of new body colours. The vehicle has been spotted by Gaadi Waadi in the flesh, and for the first time, without heavy camouflage.
Up front, the grille has been transformed into a chrome-finished 3D three-slat unit, while the bumper shows a smaller air dam, flanked by fog lamp housings each of which now includes a distinct chrome member. The side profile is identical to the current Ertiga's.
The Ertiga currently uses a 1.4-litre K-series petrol engine and a 1.3-litre (Fiat sourced) DDiS diesel unit. The regular 5-speed manual gearbox will continue to be the standard fitment, but an optional 5-speed automated manual transmission can be launched, if necessary. Like with the Swift facelift, the Ertiga could deliver 10 percent higher fuel efficiency.
Expected new features are keyless entry and push button start and electrically foldable rear view mirrors.

Maruti plans to launch eight products in 2015, and the Ertiga facelift is one of them. Despite new rivals like the Honda Mobilio, MSIL still manages to sell more than 5,000 examples of the MPV every month, and with the arrival of the facelift, that number may stay there for good.
Competitors: Honda Mobilio, Chevrolet Enjoy, Mahindra Xylo
Expected Price: INR 6-10 lakhs, ex-Showroom
Launch date: By mid-2015
