Suzuki Ignis standard variant - Bologna Motor Show Live

Will go on sale in Italy in early 2017.

Besides the Suzuki Ignis iUNIQUE, the standard Suzuki Ignis (Maruti Ignis) is being showcased at the 2016 Bologna Motor Show in Italy. The crossover-styled hatchback will go on sale in Italy in early 2017, and probably around the same time in India and other international markets.

The Suzuki Ignis is the production version of the Suzuki iM-4 concept from the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. It rides on the same lightweight new generation platform which underpins the Maruti (Suzuki) Baleno. The Euro-spec Ignis is 3,700 mm-long, 1,660 mm/1,690 mm-wide and 1,595 mm-tall, and has a 2,435 mm-long wheelbase.

The Euro-spec Suzuki Ignis is powered by the K12C 1.2-litre DUALJET naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that develops 66 kW (88.47 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 120 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. The version equipped with SHVS also features the same engine. The front-wheel drive model can be specified with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automated manual transmission, but the four-wheel drive model is available exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Equipment highlights of the Suzuki Ignis are, LED headlamps, touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink, Dual Camera Brake Support (DCBS), lane departure warning and weaving alert.
