Spied - Maruti Swift facelift snapped inside-out, gets engine starter button

India's most popular B+ hatchback gets mild feature and cosmetic changes.

The Maruti Swift facelift has been snapped by a Team BHP member. It seems like Maruti was shooting the promotional video/TVC of the refreshed Swift while these images were shot indicating that the launch is somewhere in the coming weeks.

The Swift facelift gets LED daytime running lights and a new pattern for its alloy wheels.

On the outside, the Swift facelift gets chrome braces on the lower bumper and a new pattern for the alloy wheels. Previous spyshots revealed that the mid-spec 'V' variant would get chrome door handles, though they're not seen on the 'Z' variant pictured here.

Steering-mounted Bluetooth controls, engine starter button and reverse parking sensors are some of the new features.

Inside, the refreshed Swift will get new features such as an engine starter button, rear parking sensors, Bluetooth controls integrated on the steering wheel, auto-up for the driver-side power window and electrically retractable wing mirrors.

The refreshed Swift will go on sale in the coming weeks.

Maruti will not be extending any mechanical updates to the Swift, so expect it to continue with the 1.2-liter K-Series petrol engine and the 1.3-liter DDIS diesel engine. Both engines come with a 5-speed manual gearbox on the current model.
