The rumoured Maruti Swift facelift is coming in July. A report on Overdrive quotes close sources to the development who confirm this.

The report also states that the Maruti Swift facelift will get daytime running lights and indicators integrated into the outside rear view mirrors. The centre stop light at the rear gets a redesign and Maruti will add a start/stop button inside the cabin, Bluetooth enabled music system, dual tone upholstery and electrically operated rear view mirrors. The top-end variant is likely to get automatic headlamps, says the report.

The Swift facelift was shown at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show with a LED foglights and minor tweaks.

In terms of engines, it would still be powered by the same 1.2-liter petrol engine and 1.3-liter diesel engines. While the petrol engine delivers 87 PS @ 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque @ 4,000 rpm, the diesel engine engine from Fiat generates 75 PS of power at 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque @ 2,000 rpm.

The report continues to state that apart from these cosmetic changes, it is likely that the Maruti Swift facelift could get either an AMT - a la Celerio - or get a 4-speed automatic gearbox from the Swift Dzire.
