Maruti Vitara Brezza helps MSIL post 260.4% growth in UV sales

Bookings have crossed well over 40,000 units.

Maruti has released the sales figures for the month of April, and it appears that the Maruti Vitara Brezza has helped contribute a 260.4 percent growth in the company's UV sales. In the said month, Maruti has sold 16,044 UVs, which comprise of the Gypsy, Ertiga, Vitara Brezza and S-Cross.

Starting from INR 6.99 Lakhs to INR 9.68 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), the Vitara Brezza is a competitively priced SUV with a Maruti badge, and is one of the least expensive SUVs in the market.

The Vitara Brezza is the company’s first-ever sub-4m SUV that competes against Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300. It’s also well-equipped with features such as a SmartPlay infotainment system, inbuilt navigation, reverse parking camera, engine starter button, cruise control, 60:40 split rear seat, projector headlights with LED DRLs and automatic headlights.

One of the biggest USPs of the Vitara Brezza is its pricing, which ranges between INR 6.99 Lakhs to INR 9.68 Lakhs.

For now, the Vitara Brezza is available with a 1.3-liter DDiS four-cylinder diesel engine capable of 90 PS and 200 Nm of torque. It is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission that sends power to the front wheels. The Vitara Brezza is capable of a class-leading, ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 24.3 km/l.
