Maruti Vitara Brezza sales crosses 1,00,000 sales milestone

Maruti Suzuki has announced that the Maruti Vitara Brezza has sold over 1,00,000 units in India. The company has also confirmed that, as reported recently, the Vitara Brezza is the first car in India certified for offset and side impact crash tests that will become mandatory in October 2017.
Introduced at Auto Expo 2016, the Maruti Vitara Brezza was conceptualised, designed and developed in India and launched in the country in March 2016. The sub-compact SUV measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width and 1,640 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,500 mm and a ground clearance of 198 mm. Under the hood, there's the standard 1.3-litre DDiS four-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 66 kW (88.47 hp) at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm and sends power to the wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
The Maruti Vitara is available in six grades: LDI, LDI (O), VDI, VDI (O), ZDI and ZDI (O). Noteworthy features include projector headlamps with ‘Bull Horn’ LED light guides, tail lamps with ‘Bull Horn’ LED light guides, 16-inch alloy wheels, SMARTPLAY touchscreen infotainment system with MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay and navigation, reverse parking camera, cruise control, push start with keyless entry, dual-front airbags and ABS with EBD. Prices start at INR 7,26,017 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Maruti Vitara Brezza is currently available only in diesel, but this year, Maruti Suzuki will start offering it in petrol as well. An AMT model is also expected to follow.
