To be powered by the 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel engine.

Motorbeam reports that the Maruti YBA (Maruti Vitara Brezza, as per web reports) will be unveiled and launched in India at the Auto Expo in Greater Noida on the first week of February. It adds that the model will be sold through standard Maruti Suzuki dealerships, not the NEXA outlets that retail the Maruti S-Cross and the Maruti Baleno. The publication reports that the compact crossover will be priced in the range of the Ford EcoSport.

The model is expected to be powered by the 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel engine that will produce around 90 PS of maximum power, paired to a five-speed manual transmission. To get the 'small car' excise benefits, Maruti would have to use the 1.2L (K12B) or the 1.0L Boosterjet on the petrol variants.
