Expected to be launched in India next year.

Maserati is showcasing the Maserati Levante at the 2016 Bologna Motor Show in Italy. Named after the Mediterranean wind, the Maserati Levante, is the production version of the Maserati Kubang concept and the company's first production SUV.

The Maserati Levante measures 5,003 mm in length, 2,158 mm in width (with door mirrors) and 1,679 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,004 mm. Based on the same rear-wheel drive platform as the Maserati Quattroporte and the Maserati Ghibli, the Maserati Levante is available with three engines.

Moving up the range, there's the Levante S powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine that churns out 316 kW (423.59 hp) and 580 Nm of torque. For those preferring diesel power, there's an option of a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine that develops 202 kW (270.78 hp) and 600 Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission is standard, and so is the Q4 all-wheel drive system.

Full panoramic electric sunroof, electrically adjustable pedals, 12-way power adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, heated rear seats, 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control Plus infotainment system with navigation and 17-speaker Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System are some of the key luxury features of the Maserati Levante which primarily rivals the Porsche Cayenne and the Mercedes GLE Coupe.
