Aside from redesigned front and rear bumpers, the A Class facelift gets optional LED headlights, new LED bands in its taillights and new alloy wheel patterns. Inside, the hatchback gains a new 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, MirrorLink, new upholstery and trim colors and a new three-spoke steering wheel (already seen on the CLA in India).

For the Indian market, the A Class facelift would continue with its 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and the 2.1-liter four-cylinder diesel engine, both paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The petrol engine is good for 120 hp and 200 Nm, whereas the diesel churns 134 hp and 300 Nm of torque.

Both, petrol and diesel variants of the A Class get a 7-speed transmission as standard.

Despite being on sale since June 2013, the A Class continues to be imported through the CBU route, whereas newer NGC (New Generation Compact) cars like the GLA and CLA have found assembly lines at Mercedes-Benz India's Chakan plant in Pune. The A Class facelift rounds up the brand's '15 launches in 2015' strategy.
