Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 spied on test - Video

Expected to debut at NYIAS 2017.

Following the Mercedes GLC's debut in 2015, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 was introduced last year. Now, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 flagship performance variant is in the works, and it has appeared in a new spy video uploaded by YouTube channel walkoART.

The Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 will likely have more aggressive bumpers, wider air intakes and unique alloy wheels to stand-out from the Mercedes GLC and Mercedes-AMG GLC 43. Besides that, the range-topping variant will have a longer bonnet to make more room for the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers 350 kW (476 hp) and 650 Nm of torque/375 kW (510 hp) and 700 Nm of torque in the C 63 saloon/C 63 S saloon.

The Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 will likely include a standard model and a more powerful S model like the Mercedes-AMG C 63 saloon. In both configurations, the engine should route power to the wheels via the 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT automatic transmission. Both iterations would get the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system as standard.

The Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 will sport the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine as the Mercedes-AMG C 63 saloon.
