Mercedes CLS facelift (Mercedes CLS250 CDI)

The Mercedes CLS facelift will launch only with the diesel engine, and in the CLS250 CDI variant. Its 2,143 cc four-cylinder unit makes 204 PS and 500 Nm on the European model, mated to a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox. It debuted internationally in June 2014, and its first motorshow outing was at the Moscow International Motor Show shortly after in August.

The exterior of the CLS facelift is differentiated by the new headlamp, diamond grille and bumper.

The four-door coupe, a direct rival to the BMW 6 Series and Audi A7, comes with new headlamps with the option of Multibeam LED headlights (regular LED lights are standard), diamond grille similar to the A Class, and a sporty front bumper. The rear is unchanged save for a mild reprofiling of the taillamps.

A fresh three-spoke steering wheel and an 8-inch display are the standout interior features. The control panel has fewer buttons, and the interior can be opted in one of five colors and six trim finishes and grades of leather.

It is not often that Mercedes launches products from two contrastingly different segments on the same day, but March 25 is an exception.

The E-Class Cabriolet comes with a 3.5-liter V6 turbo engine.

The E 400 Cabriolet will be powered by a 3,498 cc V6 turbo-petrol motor that produces 333 hp @ 5,250 – 6,000 rpm and 480 Nm @ 1,200 - 4,000 rpm (in UK specification). It is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox, can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds, and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.

The car is equipped with a fully-electric soft-top that can be opened or retracted at speeds up to 40 km/h.
