Mercedes GLE 450 AMG Coupe – Motorshow Focus

The Mercedes GLE Coupe will launch in India next year.

Mercedes-Benz showcased the GLE 450 AMG Coupe at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show. The crossover made its world debut at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

The exterior has a muscular and aggressive look.

This is the first model to get the ‘AMG Sport’ treatment. The exterior of the car features gloss-black accents that are applied to the single-slat grille, sunroof and side mirrors equipped with turn indicators. The front bumpers house large air intakes with the sides getting dual-tone alloys and a silver-finish side step. The rear comprises of a tailgate spoiler, LED taillights and twin chrome exhausts at each end.

Inside, there is the AMG three-spoke flat bottomed multi-function steering wheel and AMG sport seats with contrast red stitching. The two-pod instrument cluster, AC vents, steering wheel and door pads all have been given silver-finish accents. The tablet-like standalone COMAND infotainment system protrudes from the dashboard flanked on either side by AC vents. Standard features in the UK version include keyless go, LED headlights and powered tail gate.

The interior is made from quality materials with the layout featuring neatly-stacked buttons.

The GLE 450 AMG Coupe sources power from a V6 bi-turbo petrol engine capable of 367 hp and 520 Nm of torque. The 9G-Tronic automatic transmission sends power to all wheels through the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.
