The GLE receives changes to the exterior to keep it more in tune with the current product range. The front gets a revised radiator grille with Multibeam LED units, re-profiled bumper set and a re-designed LED tail light cluster at the back, along with dual exhaust tips.

Like the exterior, the cabin also receives minor tweaks which are in the form of a new three-spoke steering wheel, modified button layout in the center console, freestanding 7.0-inch COMAND display unit and AC vents.

Engines powering the GLE will remain the same as the outgoing M Class. It is powered by two diesel engines, an inline-four and a V6 unit under the hood of the GLE 250d and GLE 350d respectively. The former generates 204 PS and 500 Nm of torque while the latter is the more powerful unit with outputs of 258 PS and 620 Nm.

Both variants will transfer power to the road through the 4MATIC AWD system and the new 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox, which makes its debut in India.
