The MG Hector will come with many first-in-segment features like 360-degree AVM, 4-way power adjustable front passenger seat, power tailgate and heated ORVMs.

The MG Hector looks dominating in presence, thanks to its imposing front-end with a high-set bonnet and the two-tier light setup and its large size. The C-SUV is 4,655 mm long, 1,835 mm wide and 1,760 mm tall. Its wheelbase spans a length of 2.750 mm. On the outside, the MG Hector flaunts LED DRLs that double as floating turn indicators, LED headlamps, fog lamps (front & rear) and tail lamps and 17-inch dual-tone machined alloy wheels.

Inside, the MG Hector packs 7-inch coloured MID, leather upholstery, reclining second-row seats, 8-colour ambient lighting, 10.4-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with TomTom IQ maps for navigation, Infinity sound system with 4 speakers, 4 tweeters, subwoofer and amplifier, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, power adjustable driver (6-way) and front passenger (4-way) seats and more. The biggest highlight of this SUV is its iSmart suit of over 50 connected vehicle features, detailed in an earlier article and shown in a dedicated brochure.

On the safety front, the MG Hector is equipped with four disc brakes, six airbags, ESP, TCS, HHC, 360-degree AVM, electric parking brake, TPMS and front and rear parking sensors. Four grades will be offered: Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. For the grade-wise distribution of features, head over to this link.

The MG Hector will be available with a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine (143 PS/250 Nm) and a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine (170 PS/350 Nm). Paired with a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed DCT, the petrol engine will deliver a fuel economy of 14.16 km/l or 13.96 km/l respectively. The diesel engine will come coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission and return 17.41 km/l. The MG Hector will be India's first 48-volt mild-hybrid SUV. The hybrid system will be available as an option in the petrol engine model. It increases the fuel economy by 12% and reduces CO2 emissions by 11%.
