MINI Cooper S launching in India next month - Report
To be pricier than the Cooper D.
According to a report by Zigwheels, the petrol powered MINI Cooper S will be launched in India by the end of March.
The report continues that the vehicle will be available in a 3-door version only. Internationally, the Cooper S draws power from a 2-litre engine that makes 189 hp and 279 Nm of torque. In India, it will come mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Launched last year as a CBU import, the new MINI is available in both 3-door and 5-door versions. While the diesel powered car went on sale right at the time of launch, the petrol Cooper S was expected in the first quarter of 2015.

Prices for the MINI Cooper D start at INR 32.65 lakhs, while the Cooper S will be pricier than the Cooper D by less than 10 per cent, the publication was told by a company official.
