Rendering - Mitsubishi Outlander facelift

Is likely to hang on to the current 2.0-liter turbo hybrid powertrain.

Mitsubishi has begun teasing a new concept version of the successful Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) that was launched at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Our rendering artist Shoeb Kalania has enhanced the teaser and added production parts to imitate the final version, which previews the facelift.

The headlamps, grille and bumper are revised (as with all facelifts) to give the car a bolder appearance.

Called the Outlander PHEV Concept-S, the idea is to give attendees an insight into what the future Outlander will look like, as well as future refinements that one can expect both inside and outside the vehicle. Mitsubishi has decided to follow a “Sporty and Sophisticated” theme for the concept's design that helps highlight the impressive fuel-sipping twin-motor PHEV system under the hood.

The 2015 Outlander PHEV Concept-S will be unveiled with additional details at the 2014 Paris Motor Show which opens on Oct 2.
