Modified Royal Enfield Interceptor INT 650 is ready for an adventure
Another modified Royal Enfield Interceptor INT 650 has landed on the world wide web, and this one has arrived from Thailand. The modified 650 cc motorcycle from the Chennai-based two-wheeler brand has gone through a significant upgrade to drop the neo-retro roadster look for an off-road focused persona.

At the front, there's an aftermarket LED headlight. The round shape of the headlamp retains some of the retro-character of the stock motorcycle while adding a modern touch to the package. To give the bike a cleaner and minimalistic look, the front blinkers have been integrated into the handlebar. The off-road focused character is enhanced with a beak-style front fender and fork gaiters.
The revised cockpit includes an aftermarket handlebar. The stock fuel tank follows the cockpit and the folks responsible for this modification, Ranger_Korat, have retained the factory-paint. The saddle, however, has been revised, and the new custom unit on the modified Interceptor INT 650 is more compact than the standard motorcycle. Surprisingly, the bike retains the pillion footrest setup.
The redesigned tail section includes a custom-made rear fender and an aftermarket tail lamp. The modified Interceptor INT 650 also gets aftermarket exhaust system for enhanced sound from the parallel-twin engine. The changes to the performance numbers have not been mentioned. For reference, the stock motorcycle draws 47 BHP and 52 Nm of peak torque from its newly-developed 648 cc parallel-twin cylinder, air & oil cooled engine, SOHC engine.
The rear suspension seems to have received a revision as the modified Interceptor INT misses the gas-charged setup from the stock motorcycle.
To ensure adequate protection to the Interceptor in case of a crash, the motorcycle comes equipped with crash guards. The engine also receives some safety through a bash plate although it isn’t as big as the unit that we recently saw on two modified Royal Enfield Interceptor INT 650 bikes that would work as support vehicles at the Great Malle Rally.

The braking setup remains unaltered, and the stopping power continues to come from single disc on both wheels. The safety net includes dual-channel ABS. The rims get a unique design with a blacked-out treatment, while the knobby tyres should offer better traction over the loose surface while off-roading.
