More images of the 2017 Hyundai Xcent (facelift) surface [Update]

Update (19/04/2017):

The new Hyundai Xcent SX grade has been spied at a dealership stockyard by another Team-BHP member, just less than a day before its launch, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow. It offers a first look at the new design of the 14 inch alloy wheels as well as a closer view of the changes made to rest of the car.

Will launch on this Thursday.

A Team-BHP reader has acquired more images of the 2017 Hyundai Xcent (facelift) at a dealership stockyard ahead of its launch on Thursday, 20 April. This is the first major change for the Xcent after its introduction in 2014.

This is the first major facelift for the Xcent since its introduction in 2014.

Most changes are cosmetic, such as a new hexagonal grille with chrome slats and bezel, horizontal foglamps beside LED DRLs, revised bumpers, new 15-inch alloy wheels in the top-end model, new wraparound taillamps, reshaped boot lid with a chrome garnish on the outside.

Hyundai has also updated the feature list of the Xcent with the new 7-inch AVN touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLink and Voice Recognition, Shark Fin antenna, smartphone holder and alternator management system.

However, Hyundai has also deleted a few features across the grades E, E+, S, SX and SX (O). For instance, ABS is no longer standard in base models, while the S grade loses driver-seat height adjustment and body side moulding, and the SX/SX(O) grades lose 1GB memory storage and auto-dimming IRVM.

The rear-end gets new wraparound taillamps, reshaped boot lid with a chrome garnish on the outside.

Images of the Xcent at a dealership confirmed yesterday that it gets the 2017 Hyundai Grand i10's 1.2L 3-cyl turbo diesel engine, and the petrol variant retains the 1.2L 4-cyl Kappa unit. A 5-speed manual will be standard on both models, while a 4-speed automatic is exclusive to the petrol model.
