MG Motor India is going to launch the eZS as its second product in December this year. The eZS has been spotted on several occasions in the past during road tests. The company has teased the B-SUV on its social media handle with the caption "EVen against the odds" - indirectly promoting the usage of EVs during the upcoming 'Odd-Even' rule which will be re-implemented in the capital city from 4-15 November 2019.

The MG eZS is powered by an electric motor that develops 110 kW (150 PS) of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque.

The MG eZS will be locally assembled from knocked-down kits imported from China. Trials on the assembly line at the Halol plant have already begun. The MG eZS EV could be offered to select customers before launch. MG Motor India will follow its globally successful strategy of sourcing the batteries and other major components from CATL which is the world's biggest manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries. Apart from that, the company will also install fast-charging infrastructure at select locations within next few months.

The MG eZS is the pure electric variant of the MG ZS, which is a Hyundai Creta rival internationally. It is 4,314 mm long, 1,809 mm wide and 1,620 mm/1,644 mm tall. It has a wheelbase which measures 2,585 mm and a ground clearance of 161 mm. It sources its power from an electric motor which generates 110 kW (150 PS) of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. This electric motor is capable of propelling the SUV off the 0-50 km/h mark in just 3.1 seconds. Its electric motor gets its juice from a 44.5 kWh battery pack which delivers a range of 335 km (NEDC).
