Motoroyale to include 3-4 American & European brands to its portfolio - Report

Motoroyale will be launching SWM products in India from late-2017.

The Kinetic Group owned Motoroyale is scouting more brands to introduce in the Indian market revealed Mr Ajinkya Firodia in an interview to Overdrive. Their first brand was MV Agusta in 2015, which will be followed this year by SWM, another Italian motorcycle brand.

MV Agusta was the first premium brand to be introduced in India by Kinetic Motoroyale.

Motoroyale at present has 5 operational dealerships and aims to increase it to 12 to 15 outlets in the future. A time frame for expansion of touchpoints has not been revealed. Mr Firodia, Managing Director, Motoroyale said

Mr Firodia, Managing Director, Motoroyale said:

Our vision is to have at least three or four brands. But I want Motoroyale to have the most exciting and exotic of products. So, we’re talking to few other companies, and I’m sure you’ll hear about more action soon.

He also added that Motoroyale will be limited to European and American brands. Interestingly, Mr Firodia also said that SWM motorcycles will need separate ‘shops’ as they have a different clientele. While MV Agusta badged motorcycles start at INR 15 lakhs, SWM products are priced at one-third the price.

After MV Agusta and SWM, Kinetic Motoroyale is in talks with more European and American motorcycle manufacturers.

The SWM SuperDual will be priced between INR 5 lakhs to INR 6 lakhs (ex-showroom).
