McLaren P1 & McLaren 675LT Spider from MSO - Geneva Motor Show Live

Both feature 24-carat gold plated exhaust heat shields.

McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has displayed a carbon fiber edition of the McLaren P1 which recently ceased production, and of the 675LT Spider which is limited to 500 units of production.

The recent customer project completed by MSO, through it's Bespoke Division, the McLaren P1 features a hand laid full visual carbon fiber body with 'Lio Blue' tinted lacquer. The same was made available to customers earlier this year but has been publicly showcased at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show for the first time. The hypercar gets gloss black finish wheels and carbon black Alacantara trim interior with contrast blue stitching. Summing it up is the 24 carat gold exhaust heat shield paying its homage to the McLaren F1.

Premiering at the show is the McLaren 675LT Spider, with the production limited to 500 units and each one already accounted for. MSO developed this one-off example finished in Ceramic Grey with even greater levels of Carbon Fiber than the standard model. The satin carbon fiber retractable heardtop saves 1 kg weight and can be operated at speeds upto 40km/h.

The front wing includes carbon fiber louvres while the "Longtail" airbrake gets body color finish in the upper section and visual carbon fiber weave in lower. The front bumper end plates, side skirts, side intakes and rear bumper get the same visual carbon fiber treatment.

The seats get black Alcantara trim with contrasting xenon yellow stitching. The rotary handling and powertrain controls on active dynamics panel are finished in Solis. Identical to the P1, the 675LT gets a 24 carat exhaust heat shield too.
