The Turismo Veloce 800, similar to the rest of the MV Agusta lineup, will carry a premium price tag compared to its rivals. A report from earlier this year claimed that the sports tourer will cost INR 20.18* lakh. Internationally, the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce is sold in four options – Standard, Lusso, Lusso SCS and RC SCS. The details about the India-bound variants are unavailable.
The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 uses a 798 cc inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with a counter-rotating crankshaft that pumps out 110 hp of maximum power at 10,150 rpm and 81 Nm of peak torque at 7,100 rpm. Almost 90% of the total torque is available from just 3,800 rpm. The motor is linked to a 6-speed transmission, and it features a hydraulic-activated slipper clutch and quickshifter (up- and down-shifts). The maximum speed is rated at 230 km/h.
Braking department comprises dual 320 mm floating front discs and a single 220 mm rear disc to perform the anchoring tasks. Suspension duties are handled by Marzocchi sourced inverted front forks and a Sachs rear monoshock. The Lusso variant benefits from features like Sachs upside-down forks, cruise control and luggage panniers.
The electronic package on the middleweight sports tourer includes ride-by-wire throttle, four riding modes, 8-level traction control, Bosch 9 PLUS ABS and Rear Wheel Lift-up Mitigation.
In terms of styling, the Turismo Veloce 800 features a touring friendly semi-fairing design along with a tall windscreen. Other key features include knuckle guards with integrated front blinkers, triple exhaust outlets and single-sided swingarm.
