MY2017 Nissan Sylphy receives minor updates; prices revised - Thailand

Prices for 1.6 V and 1.6 SV increased by 9,000 baht.

Nissan Thailand has quietly updated the MY2017 Nissan Sylphy as well as revised prices of the 1.6 V and SV grades. The base 1.6 E and range-topping 1.6 DIG Turbo are still priced at 817,000 baht and 999,000 baht, respectively, while the 1.6 V is now priced at 859,000 baht (8,000 baht increase) and the new 1.6 SV retails at 879,000 baht (9,000 baht hike).

Similar to the Sylphy Touring S sold in Japan, some variants of the Sylphy get the sportier front bumper with sharp lines and chrome garnish surrounding the fog lamps, side skirts, extended rear bumper and a rear spoiler. The 16 inch alloy wheels (15 inch in lower variants), halogen projector headlamps, LED taillamps and chrome garnish front grille have been retained. Inside, the only change is a new 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system that replaces the 5.8 inch unit with buttons of the previous model.

Under the hood is a HR16DE 1.6L 4-cyl DOHC engine, which produces 116 PS and 154 Nm of torque, while the DIG Turbo version outputs 190 PS and 240 Nm. Both variants are paired with an X-Tronic CVT gearbox that sends power to the front wheels. The Sylphy is available with active features VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control) and TCS (Traction Control System), along with other safety features like ABS with EBD, BA, dual airbags, and automatic door locks.
