In terms of performance, the 2019 Dominar packs 5 PS more power than the model it replaces. The single-cylinder, 373.3cc, liquid-cooled engine with fuel injection gets a DOHC in the updated model. The revised engine produces 40 PS at 8,650 rpm and 35 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The new figures have brought the power-to-weight ratio to 217 PS/Ton (vs 192 PS/Ton on the discontinued, pre-upgrade model).

The revised hardware specifications include 43 mm upside down (USD) front forks as against conventional units on the old model, new twin barrel exhaust and a radially mounted front calliper. Other changes to the 2019 model include forged steel side stand, redesigned secondary display, new tank pad decals, updated mirror design with cast aluminium stalks and bungee straps. Shock absorption duties at the back are continued to be performed by an adjustable monoshock. Braking tasks are performed by 320 mm (front) and 230 mm (rear) discs on both wheels. The new, radially mounted front calliper has been repositioned, and it now sits on the left side of the bike.
