The second generation Honda Brio has been unveiled at the GIIAS 2018 in Indonesia. The 2019 Honda Brio looks true to the Honda Small RS Concept which was revealed at the IIMS 2018 in April this year.

The all-new design brings Honda's entry-level product inline with global models. A lot of similarity is also observed with the 2018 Honda Amaze (the two products share common platform, engines and interior) especially in the grille and headlight area. Interestingly, it appears Honda has carried over a lot from the first generation Brio: The front bumpers, the front doors, door handles, the distinct side crease line, ORVMs and the black plastic applique in the A-Pillars seem to have been lifted from the earlier Brio.

However, the new Brio appears larger than its predecessor thanks to the more conventional and mature design of the rear. The hatchback gives the all-glass tailgate a miss, and looks wider with the Ford Figo-inspired taillight clusters. Honda is showcasing two variants of the new Brio today: the standard Brio Satya and a sportier Brio RS with diamond-cut alloy wheels, a faux diffuser and side skirts.

Two variants of the Brio, the Brio Satya and Brio RS, were unveiled today.

The specifications should be available later in the day, though the i-VTEC badging on the bootlid is an indication that Honda is continuing the 1.2-liter i-VTEC petrol (select markets like Philippines and Thailand get a 1.3-liter i-VTEC) capable of 90 PS and 110 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed MT and CVT.

The new Brio is, reportedly, not under consideration for the Indian market owing to poor sales of the first-gen Brio. Honda Cars India have not confirmed yet on the Brio, though.
