IAB Report - New Maruti Alto K10 to launch in the first week of next month
To be offered in 6 variants.
Indian Autos Blog learns that the new Maruti Alto K10 will launch in the first week of November. Dealers of Maruti-Suzuki have already started accepting orders for the premium entry car for a sum of INR 10,000.
Maruti intends to repeat the success of the original K10, if not increase its popularity further, by launching it in a total of six variants, with two transmission options, and two fuel choices. In comparison, the older K10 was offered in only two variants, LXi and VXi, with a manual gearbox.
The new K10's 1.0-liter three-cylinder K-Series engine maybe carried over from the older model with identical power and torque (67.04 bhp and 90 Nm of torque), but it sees an improvement in fuel efficiency at 24.07 km/l. For the first time, the Alto K10 will come with CNG, which is claimed to deliver 32.26 km/kg.
