Porsche will launch the new Macan (facelift) in India on 29 July. The facelifted model was revealed internationally the same month last year.

The 2019 Porsche Macan (facelift) will compete against the likes of Audi Q5, BMW X4, Jaguar F-Pace and Mercedes GLC Coupe.

First introduced in 2014, the Macan went on to become the fastest-selling models in the company's history. Porsche had sold over 350,000 units of the same globally by July last year. The new Macan features a number of subtle design changes inspired by the third-gen Cayenne. It gets a redesigned front-end which looks wider. Other changes include new LED headlights with signature four-LED fixtures each, bigger air-intakes and new sleek LED strips that also work as turn indicators. At the rear, the most noticeable change is the new connected tail lamps. On the sides, the design is the same but the styling has been refreshed with new alloy wheel options available in 20- and 21-inch sizes.

With the facelift, the Porsche Macan has gained four new exterior colour options - Miami Blue, Mamba Green Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic and Crayon.
Inside, the dashboard has been revised and now features an 11-inch touchscreen display with the new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) which supports online navigation. The entry-level Porsche SUV now includes an anti-theft alarm system with interior surveillance in its standard equipment list. Also new is a 911-inspired GT sports steering wheel. Other cabin updates include electric seats with memory for 14 settings, heated front windshield, and an air ioniser for the climate control.

Porsche sells the facelifted Macan with only petrol engines. There's a standard variant with a 2.0-litre petrol engine (245 PS/370 Nm) and an S variant with a 3.0-litre petrol engine (354 PS/480 Nm). The maximum power output of the 2.0-litre engine was 252 PS in the old model, which means that it has reduced by 7 PS. The 3.0-litre engine's maximum power has increased from 340 PS by 14 PS, but its torque has reduced from 460 Nm by 20 Nm. The new model boasts even newly developed tyres with improved performance characteristics and an enhanced chassis as well.

The Macan is the fastest-selling models in Porsche's history. The company had sold over 3,50,000 units by July last year.
