A quarter-litre variant of the Suzuki Intruder will most likely join the updated 155 cc model. The new motorcycles would come with BS-VI compliant motor to adhere with the more stringent norms that would come into effect from April 2020. The launch of the cruiser motorcycles will be preceded by the updated naked roadster variants of the Gixxer SF (155) and the Gixxer SF 250. The 155 cc variant of the roadster has already made its spy photograph debut and the Gixxer duo are likely to arrive ahead of the festive season.

The feature list of the Intruder 155 and Intruder 250 will include full LED headlight and a revised instrument console that it will share with the current Gixxer and Gixxer SF motorcycles. The performance numbers are not likely to be much different from the Gixxer SF duo. The 249 cc fuel-injected single-cylinder, oil-cooled, engine of the Gixxer SF 250 makes 26.5 PS of peak power output at 9,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of max torque at 7,500 rpm. The 154.9 cc fuel-injected single-cylinder air-cooled, SOHC, 2-valve motor of the Gixxer SF (155), on the other hand, churns out 14.1 PS of max power at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The quarter-litre bike will employ a six-speed gearbox, while the smaller displacement variant will use a five-speed transmission.

The styling will also undergo some changes to make the cruiser motorcycle more appealing than the current generation model. That said, the hardware specifications would target to keep the costs low and thus the Intruder 155 and Intruder 250 would use conventional telescopic forks up front and a monoshock suspension at the back to perform the shock absorption tasks. Disc brake on both ends would perform braking tasks. While the 155 cc model will have with a single-channel ABS, while the quarter-litre model will use a dual-channel ABS. A similar setup is seen on the Gixxer SF (155) and Gixxer SF 250 respectively.

The Suzuki Intruder 155 will continue having single-channel ABS post facelift.
