IAB Report - Nissan March (Micra) Limited Edition with new grille design showcased in Thailand

Powered by a 1.2L petrol engine.

The Nissan March (or Micra as it's called in certain markets including India) is one of the most popular hatchbacks ever, with the first generation being a little more than 30 years old now. Its presence too is quite wide, and most of its previous generations have had a special version - like the sporty 'Super S' or the 'SR' of the past.

And Nissan's kind enough to offer a discrete model this time, too. Called March Limited Edition, this variant could appeal to those who like their Micras to be a little different.

It's the same Micra/March as we know it, except the fascia. The presence of a bold, almost Jaguar-like front grille is the highlight. While the headlamp design remains unchanged, the front gets new look bumpers too. The side and rear portions are left untouched, though.

Positioned to sell in limited quantities alongside the current March, the March Limited Edition is available only in the 'E' and 'EL' trims, while the top spec 'V' is reserved for the current, regular model only. Prices for the basic version start at 456,000 Baht (INR 8.6 lakhs), which is a premium of 9,000 Baht over the standard 'E MT' version.

Powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes a maximum power of 79 hp at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 106 Nm at 4,000 rpm, the March Limited Edition comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. An automatic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is also available on both E and EL trims.

Standard equipment on the car includes dual airbags up front, an audio system (USB and Aux connectivity on the E CVT version onward), parking sensors (EL variant), push button start (EL variant), etc. The Limited Edition version is only available in three colours: White Pearl, Black Star, and Spring Green.
