Spied - Nissan Micra facelift fully revealed
The current Nissan Micra was launched in March 2010 which means 2013 is the year for its midlife refresh.
We all know that Nissan is working on the facelifted version of the car but none had any idea about the changes to the exterior styling. Now we present you what is arguably the first sighting of the new car.
Mr. Favan, a forum member of Pulsar-club.com managed to snap the Nissan Micra facelift from all the vital angles when the car was brought to a shopping center in Thailand for shooting promo videos. We have to say that the redesign has successfully wiped out its 'girly car' image.
The front fascia is characterized by new headlamps, grill and bumper. The Nissan logo is cradled by a chrome trough, a design feature which first debuted in the Nissan Extrem concept which was showcased at the Sao Paulo Motor Show last year.
The inverted trapezoid shaped secondary air dam is easily the single largest element of the car's nose and it complements the car's appearance apart from letting more air into the radiator. The foglamps are new and are pushed to the corners to aid the sense of width.
The facelifted Micra is expected to continue having the 1.5 litre K9K diesel or the 1.2 litre petrol motor under its bonnet. The transmission option would be the 5-speed manual. Would Nissan slip in the X-CVT Automatic, that they promised, on the facelift for the Indian market?
With the refreshed look, the Nissan Micra is bound to attract more lads while still managing to be appealing to the lasses.
