The Nissan Terra, which went on sale in Thailand in August this year, has been put on display at the ongoing 2018 Thai Motor Expo. The mid-size SUV is currently available at a starting price of 1,316,000 baht.

While prices of the Thai-spec Nissan Terra currently start at 13,16,000 baht, they will be increased by 50,000 baht for all trims from 1 January 2019.

While the Nissan Terra is powered by a QR25 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine in China and by the YD25 2.5-litre turbocharged diesel motor in the Philippines and Indonesia, the Thai-spec model draws its juice from a Renault-derived YS23 2.3-litre twin-turbocharged diesel mill that is capable of producing a maximum power of 190 PS at 3,750 rpm and a peak torque of 450 Nm from 1,500 to 2,500 rpm. The motor comes mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The Thailand-spec Nissan Terra is available in three variants - V 2WD, VL 2WD and VL 4WD. All the trim levels boast a long list of standard equipment, including automatic LED headlights and daytime running lights, fog lights, 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, keyless entry, push-button start, dual-zone auto climate control with rear blower control, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and one-touch auto tumble function for the second row of seats. The fully-loaded version also offers a limited-slip differential, an acoustic glass windscreen, leather upholstery, a 5-inch multi-information display, a Kenwood 2-DIN navigation system with a seven-inch touchscreen, six speakers, a reverse camera and a first-in-class digital rear-view mirror.

Safety equipment across trim levels includes 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, electronic stability control, hill-start assist and ISOFIX child seat mounts. The top-spec trim also offers a 360-degree camera with Moving Object Detection (MOD), lane departure warning and blind spot monitoring.

The Thai-spec Nissan Terra will employ the Euro 5-compliant Renault-derived YS23 2.3-litre twin-turbo diesel engine.
