Will debut in March 2017.

The Opel Insignia Grand Sport features a design inspired by the Opel Monza Concept.

The Opel Insignia Grand Sport features a striking new design inspired by the Opel Monza Concept from the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA 2013). Compared to the original model, the second generation model is slightly longer (4,897 mm), and has shortened overhangs and 11 mm wider tracks. Changed dimensions give the Insignia proportions reminiscent of upper-class rear-wheel drive cars. A 29 mm lower sweeping roofline gives the car an athletic silhouette of a coupe. With a notably low drag coefficient of 0.26 Cd, the second-gen model is one of the most aerodynamic vehicles in its class.

The Opel Insignia Grand Sport's interior also takes inspiration from the Opel Monza Concept, and it follows the brand's "sculptural artistry meets German precision" design philosophy. Thanks to a 92 mm longer wheelbase, the second-gen Insignia offers 32 mm more room at hip height, 25 mm more shoulder and knee room and 8 mm more headroom.

IntelliLux LED matrix light, a head-up display, IntelliLink infotainment system with a frameless touchscreen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration compatibility, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Assist with automated steering correction and Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert and a 360-degree bird’s-eye view are some of the features.
