Opel Mokka X – 2016 Geneva Motor Show Live

Introduced with new 154 hp 1.4-litre turbocharged engine.

Almost four years after its world premiere at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the Opel Mokka is receiving a facelift at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. With the mid-life update, the compact crossover has now been named 'Opel Mokka X'.

The new exterior is more angular now and features a wing-shaped horizontal grille, new headlamps with 'double-wing' LED daytime running lights, new bumper, wing-shaped upper grille, new lower grille and new skid plate on the front. The bonnet too has been given new styling with new creases. The rear-end incorporates new LED taillamps with double wing graphics, new bumper, new foglamps and new skid plate.

Inside, the Opel Mokka X features a completely new dashboard, new instrument panel with more horizontally shaped elements and redone centre console with new generation 7- and 8-inch touchscreen IntelliLink infotainment systems. The two new infotainment systems bring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration compatibility to the car. To get rid of unnecessary buttons, many functions have now been made operable by capacitive touchscreens.

The facelift also brings a new generation 112 kW (152 hp) 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine. The new engine will be available in combination with a 6-speed automatic transmission, engine start/stop system and adaptive all-wheel drive system.
