Perodua Bezza gets 19,000 bookings, 6,000 units delivered - Report

The Perodua Bezza was launched last month in Malaysia, and days after its launch, it was reported that the car received over 10,000 bookings. Now, the Perodua Bezza's bookings figure has reached 19,000 units. As of 12 August, 5,000 units were delivered and a total of 1,000 units were expected to delivered by the end of the day.

The Perodua Bezza is available in five variants in Malaysia.

The Perodua Bezza is the company's first ever sedan to be sold in Malaysia. Based on the Perodua Axia, the Perodua Bezza measures 4,150 mm in length, 1,620 mm in width and 1,510 mm in height. Its wheelbase is the same as that of the Axia - 2,455 mm. Its boot offers 508 litres of luggage space, which is almost 100 litres more than what the rival Proton Saga has to offer.

The Perodua Bezza is available with the 1KR-VE 1.0-litre VVT-i three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 50 kW (67.02 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 91 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm, and the 1NR-VE 1.3-litre Dual VVT-i four-cylinder petrol engine that develops 70 kW (93.83 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 121 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Transmission choices for both engine models are 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic.

The Perodua Bezza is available with the 1KR-VE 50 kW (67.02 hp) 1.0-litre VVT-i petrol engine and the 1NR-VE 70 kW (93.83 hp) 1.3-litre Dual VVT-i engine.

The Perodua Bezza is sold in five variants: 1.0 Standard G MT, 1.0 Standard G AT, 1.3 Premium X MT, 1.3 Premium X AT and 1.3 Advance. 42% of the deliveries were for the 1.3 Advance and 43% of the deliveres were for the 1.3 Premium X (MT/AT), while the remaining units delivered were of the 1.0-litre engine models.
