While Bajaj Auto is yet to announce the price and availability of the premium version of the Pulsar 125, BikeWale reports that the motorcycle will cost INR 70,618*, INR 3,904 more than the disc brake version of the standard Pulsar 125 (INR 66,714*).

The premium version of the Bajaj Pulsar 125 started reaching select dealership at the start of this month and should be launched soon. It packs several visual upgrades over the standard model. The fuel tank, for example, gets shrouds for a more muscular look. The split seat set up is complemented by a sporty, two-piece pillion grab rail at the back. The graphics on the tank and other body panels add a premium touch to the visuals, while the engine cowl enhances its sporty looks. In comparison, the standard Pulsar 125 packs single-piece seat, one-piece pillion grab rail and a monotone paint with bright colour for the Pulsar logo, grille on the side panel, 125 badge on the rear panel and the tank pad.

However, underneath the different styling, both motorcycles feature the exact same hardware and engine specifications. The shock absorption department, for example, comprises telescopic forks at the front and adjustable, gas-charged springs at the back. The anchoring hardware comprises 170 mm front and 130 mm rear drum brakes as standard, while a 240 mm front disc is available as an option. The safety net on the Pulsar 125 duo includes the mechanical combined braking system.

Engine specifications include a BS-IV compliant 124.4 cc, air-cooled DTS-i motor with a carburettor that delivers a segment-leading (budget 125 cc) 12 PS of max power at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 11 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The power-mill is linked to a 5-speed gearbox.

The base variant (pictured) misses features like tank shrouds, engine cowl, split seats and two-piece pillion grab rail.

In other updates, Bajaj Auto has revised the prices of its Pulsar and the Avenger range. The Pulsar and Avenger branded motorcycles are expensive by up to INR 1,696. The Pulsar 125 and the Pulsar 150 Neon, however, continue to retail at the same levels. The company’s flagship product, the 2019 Dominar 400 UG, too, has received a revision, and it now retails at INR 1,90,002 (INR 10,001 more expensive than before).
