Production Honda Neo Sports Cafe – IAB Rendering

IAB’s in-house designer Shoeb R Kalania has rendered the production version of the Honda Neo Sports Cafe. Honda showcased its concept at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.

The exhaust is a four-to-one unit with dual exits.

Honda is developing the bike under ‘Project N.S.C’. The production version of the Honda Neo Sports Cafe will make its global debut on November 6th; a day before the 2017 EICMA held from November 7th to 12th in Milan, Italy. Major components of the concept look almost production ready.

The motorcycle follows a simple design language. It features a blend of classic elements like round headlamp, brushed metal finishes; and modern underpinnings like liquid-cooled in-line four engine and top-spec cycle parts. Honda aims to please the cafe racer crowd who crave for classic design and modern mechanicals. The circular headlamp is LED. LED indicators flank the headlight on both sides. The rear indicators are mounted on the tail. The easy-to-reach handlebars and the single-piece seat help in achieving comfortable ergonomics. The foot pegs are rear-set.

Powering the Honda Neo Sports Cafe is an in-line four cylinder engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. While Honda has remained tight-lipped about its specification, expect it to be the same unit that powers the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade. The motor in the superbike makes 191 PS at 13,000 rpm and 114 Nm at 11,000 rpm. Expect Honda to mellow down this engine with more low-end torque for this machine.

Honda has blessed the Neo Sports Cafe with upside down front fork and a rear monoshock. Brakes include dual front discs with radial callipers, and a single disc at the rear. A single-sided swingarm holds the rear wheel, and comes with a tyre hugger which holds the licence plate.
