Production ready CFMoto 250SR spotted in new colour

A production-ready unit of CFMoto 250SR has been spotted in China without any camouflage. The quarter-litre sports motorcycle was first showcased as a prototype at CFMoto Day in May 2019. Our regular readers will remember that India will be getting a bigger displacement CFMoto 300SR based on the 250SR in mid-2020.

The CFMoto 250SR had earlier been spied in blue and black shades.

Styled with sharp lines, the CFMoto 250SR gets twin LED headlamps up front, surrounded by C-shaped LED daytime running lights. The tall windscreen will be a boon for ducking during high speeds, protecting the rider from wind blasts. Unlike the black and blue coloured body spied so far, the unit snapped now is in a new white paint scheme. The decals are in grey and black. Besides that, the CFMoto 250SR gets LED winkers and a coloured TFT instrument panel.

The CFMoto 250SR is suspended over an upside-down fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Brakes include discs at both ends sourced from J.Juan. That’s the same supplier which provided the braking setup for the non-ABS Mahindra Mojo. Also, the clip-on handlebar is positioned high up while the footpegs are rear set. The exhaust is an underbelly unit.

The powertrain of the CFMoto 250SR will be the 249.2 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled unit from the 250NK. This engine produces 26.5 PS of power and 22 Nm of torque. The CFMoto 300SR, in turn, will borrow the mill from 300NK which was launched in India recently. This is a re-bored, 292.4 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder mill producing 33.9 PS and 20.5 Nm. Besides that, the bike will also get the riding modes (Sport and Rain) seen in the naked cousins.

The CFMoto 300SR will be powered by the single-cylinder mill from the 300NK.

CFMoto motorcycles were introduced in India by AMW Motorcycles in August 2019. The CFMoto 300NK is priced in India at INR 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The fully-faired 300SR is expected to be priced around INR 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the TVS Apache RR 310 and KTM RC390.
