Report - Clear exterior and interior images of the Proton Iriz show up
Gets a 5-star rating in ASEAN-NCAP crash test.
Further images of the exterior and interior of the Proton Iriz (codenamed Proton P2-30A) have emerged thanks to Funtasticko. The global compact car from the Malaysia-based automaker is expected to have its national launch in the coming weeks, and a European introduction is expected sometime next year. Proton provided the first look of the car on September 1.
Going by reports, the Iriz will be powered by 1.3- and 1.6-liter VVT engines matched to manual and automatic gearboxes. The small car has also passed the ASEAN-NCAP crash test with a 5-star safety rating thanks to features such as 6-airbags, ABS, EBD, TCS and Brake Assist.
The Iriz will be a feature-packed vehicle as it comes with the above mentioned safety features and projector headlights, keyless entry, engine starter button, a touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and navigation and a reverse parking camera.

The small car reportedly cost the manufacturer RM 300 million (INR 570 crores) to develop.
