More images of the Qoros 3 sedan, Estate and Cross Hybrid released
Qoros, the new automotive kid on the block has released more pictures of its Qoros 3 sedan and two other concepts which shall make their premiere at the Geneva Motor show in the first week of March.
Regular Indian Autos Blog readers know that Qoros is a result of a partnership between the Chinese automaker Chery and an Israeli firm called Quantum LLC. Qoros is eying the Chinese and the European car market seriously and is hoping that it could quickly emerge as a top Chinese brand in Europe.
The Qoros 3 sedan, which was previously called as the GQ3, is the company's first weapon. The sedan has the Skoda Octavia squarely in its sights with a clean design and spacious and well executed interior.
The 3 sedan will be launched in China in the second half of 2013 and Europe is scheduled to get the car later in 2013. The engine option is rumored to be a 1.6 litre petrol engine which would be available in naturally aspirated and turbocharged guises with power outputs of 125 PS and 156 PS respectively.
The first of the concepts is the 3 Estate concept which is nothing but a station wagon version of the 3 sedan. The Estate concept appears to be very close to production.
The second concept is the Cross Hybrid, which as the name implies, is a crossover SUV with hybrid powertrain. The front wheels will be turned by a petrol engine while the rear wheels get their motive power from an electric motor.
These Qoros products are expected to comply with the safety, quality and emission standards of Europe. The 2013 Geneva Motor Show will mark the birth of the new auto marque.
Would you buy a Qoros if it enters India?
